Ted Wong Jeet Kune Do
We have a story to tell
The history of Jeet Kune Do Canada of Sifu Ted Wong Lineage was made here.
It all began in 1994 when Patrick Chan made a phone call to Sifu Ted Wong, inviting him to conduct a seminar in Canada, which Sifu Ted Wong accepted. The invitation continued over a span of 16 active years, from 1994 to 2009.
At least once every year, Sifu Ted Wong would fly to Montreal to share with us his experience & knowledge on Bruce Lee's art and philosophy of Jeet Kune Do.
Sadly, Sifu Ted Wong passed away in 2010.
Now 30 years into the making, TedWong Jeet Kune Do is still around, and its teaching is presently carried out under the guidance of Patrick Chan.

Sifu Ted Wong stressed the importance of great mobility through proper footwork to help us control our fighting distance, and of proper body mechanics to improve our power generation and balance. He taught us to compound the 5 ways of attack to help us improve our ruse and tactics in combat. Certainly, all the basic tools and techniques must, under his guidance, be refined to "perfection" in order to improve our physical and motor skills - to reduce our limitation, to simplify our techniques, to make no telegraphic movements, to eliminate wastage of motion, to develop spontaneity and naturalness, etc.
Sifu Ted Wong encouraged us to focus on ourselves, to acquire a very good comprehension of the principles of force and to apply them to all of our moves in order to fully optimize our potential.
Sifu Ted Wong did not want the knowledge and experience he acquired from the many private lessons he got from Bruce Lee to become lost. So, he opened up to the world to share with them the learnt art and philosophy. Sifu Ted Wong was one of the original students of the Bruce Lee's backyard training in Los Angeles. He was also the last private student of Bruce Lee and one of the only three people certified in Jeet Kune Do by Bruce Lee.
Sifu Ted Wong had a goal, and that was to preserve Bruce Lee's art, which he worked very hard during a great part of his lifetime to achieve it.
To be disciplined and respectful to others, and to mind our own business were also part of his great teachings.
Mission
To inspire individuals to seek and attain, through self-cultivation, the greater martial expression in lieu of dwelling on the lesser expression.
Vision
To make the Bruce Lee - Ted Wong Legacy live on for many generations to come.
To see more and more individuals looking after themselves first. And focusing not only on their physicality but also, most importantly, on their psychology and tactic of combat for the development of their greater expression.
